A small computer parts business started up primarily to help take the middle man out of purchases myself, my partner, friends and family were making. After setting up the business, and running it during the later portion of college (a few dollars spending money came in very handy). We closed up shop in early 2001 after getting "real jobs" and the savings by going through wholesalers was no longer worth the time in maintaining the business.

That said, it was a tremendous learning experience which has given me a new-found respect for those who stake their lively hood on low margins and reliance on computer fads to push through enough sales to be profitable.
